"I can not state adequately the abundant blessing that John and Val have been and continue to be in the lives of my family.  They are undoubtedly the most caring, nurturing and loving people I have ever known.  John and Val are a major influence on Jan and mine children, Noah, Jered, and Aliscia.  Over the past 20 and more years they have provided a God focus and vision when needed the most for all of us.  As Christian Youth Leaders for the children, close family friends, personal mentors, praying with my wonderful wife Jan, and now my closest friend and support, they give everything of themselves.  They guide us, pray with us, laugh and cry with us, and let us share their lives.  We are richer and blessed with John and Val as friends.  Everyone they touch is better off for it.  I can not imagine how void our lives would be without John and Val. 

The passion and vision that John and Val have for the House of Hope hooked both Jan and myself.  There is such a deep love and commitment they have for these troubled and hurting teens that Jan and I were emotionally compelled to join John and Val's' journey, as friends and as participants.  We've seen virtual miraculous works in the lives of young people who are embraced by John and Val.  Children who are brought back from the brink of destruction to achieve healthy relationships.  John and Val are referred to as "uncle" and "aunt" by many young people.  My own children look to them as a second set of parents, offering spiritual and loving support.  Jan and I contribute on a regular basis to the vision and purpose of the House of Hope because we desire to see the dream come true."
